Excuse Me, Where's the Nearest Pagoda?: Beach Trip to Hua Hin

____________________________________________________________

After stuffing ourselves yet again in Cha-Am, we finished the hour-long drive to Hua Hin where we'd be staying the night. Our friend had planned everything for us so we weren't sure what to expect, but we were amazed when we got to the hotel, the Asara Villas. The hotel has a few different types of villa-style rooms, so it definitely feels like you have a lot of space. There's also a huge pool that is on the beachfront. Not sure if it was just bad timing, but the only drawback is that the ocean is quite rough here and not very swimming-friendly.

After resting up and enjoying the pool and beach, we headed out to dinner.  Our friend had mentioned that she had something special planned to celebrate Lisa and mine's recent engagement, but we had no idea how awesome it would actually be.  We drove over to the nearby Anantara hotel and were escorted from the lobby by one of the hotel staff.  We walked by at least a couple of the hotel's restaurants and kept walking toward the beach.  I remember thinking to myself that this seemed strange, until we stumbled upon our own private beach-side dinner. This was my first time ever eating beachside and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the company.

After dinner, we walked around the night market for a bit, and finished with drinks at the Let's Sea hotel. This is actually our friend's favorite place to stay, and it's easy to see why. The hotel rooms form a U-shape, and in the middle is a huge pool that you can jump in directly from each room. The bar is perched on top of a cliff and has really great views of the ocean, highly recommend place to grab a drink and relax.
